Greetings Community. This virtual grief salon will be held on Saturdays 8:30-9:30am Az time (9/12, 10/10, 11/7) *please check what that is for your location **it will change after daylight savings as Az doesn’t change the clock. Check time conversion. Our gathering is meant to be a welcoming space to come together and be with/talk about grief and how it impacts our lives, from the personal to the collective. It is a container for honoring, allowing, and metabolizing. Grief is shy and shadowy and we may need to draw it out a bit to make it feel safe to tell us it’s medicine. And sometimes grief shows up as fire and needs the support of a larger container. This offering will be a facilitated group dialogue with an intention of creating a community environment to hold space for our sorrow to be expressed and witnessed.
Everyone is welcome to join as grief stirs within us all. The invitation includes a request to remember that when you are in the space, you are part of a larger collective, a culture of care. To keep the domain a protected realm, there is a zero tolerance policy for ableism, homophobia, racism, transphobia, and xenophobia.
Attendants may choose to actively participate by sharing their stories, and experiences. We will begin with an arrival, grounding, and agreements. And then participants will have the opportunity to share in the “circle”. This is a space for tending to our grief, vs a space for advice, or feedback outside of thank you. No one is required to share, or be on camera, or stay for the duration of the session.
Due to the subject matter of a grief salon, I encourage participants to consider what support they may need. Have water, tea, tissues, a journal, candle, blanket with you. This call will not be recorded for the privacy of all.
This offering is available to anyone that would like to join. You may make a contribution but it is not required. *Suggested offering:$10 – $30 (Venmo: Michelle-Marks-19 or Zelle: 520-990-0696)
