Greetings Community. This virtual grief salon, Sunday January 26th 9-10:30am MST is meant to be a welcoming space to talk about grief and how it impacts our lives. Grief is shy and shadowy and we may need to draw it out a bit to make it feel safe to tell us it’s medicine. This is a facilitated dialogue with an intention of creating a community environment to hold space for our sorrow to be witnessed.
Everyone is welcome to join (though we will be limited to 12 participants). The invitation includes a request to remember that when you are in the space, you are part of a larger collective. To keep the domain a protected realm, there is a zero tolerance policy for ableism, homophobia, racism, transphobia, and xenophobia.
Attendants may choose to actively participate by sharing their stories, experiences, and views. We will begin with an arrival, grounding, and agreements. And then participants will have the opportunity to share in the “circle”. This is a space for sharing, vs a space for advice, or feedback outside of thank you. No one is required to share, or be on camera, or stay for the duration of the session.
Due to the subject matter of a grief salon, I encourage participants to consider what support they may need. Have water, tea, tissues, a journal, candle, blanket with you. This call will not be recorded for the privacy of all.
This offering is available to anyone that would like to join. You may make a contribution but it is not required. Click here if you would like info on where to make your contribution.
